About the Course
1/2 grade History / Science - 10am

The first and second grade history/science class is a weekly, hour long class that covers both subjects.

For the science portion of class, we will loosely follow topics from the Answers in Genesis science curriculum used in 3rd – 6th grades.  In class, we will learn science basics and vocabulary through experiments or games.

If you would like to purchase books, we will follow some topics in the following texts:

1) God's Design for the Physical World - Machines & Motion

2) God's Design for Life - The World of Animals

3) God's Design for Heaven & Earth - Our Planet Earth

4) God's Design for Chemistry & Ecology - Properties of Matter

Any edition is fine and again, purchase of the books is optional.  Links to educational resources for each subject will be provided.

For history, we will study Cultures.  More details to come.

*If this class meets capacity, please add your student to the wait list so that we can add more sections as needed.

Course Outline/Syllabus:  Will be provided via email closer to class start date.

About Bradley

What a blessing and privilege to teach the Apologetics class at Cornerstone! I have truly enjoyed this experience!

My wife and I have been homeschooling our three children for many years. It has been a joy and a privilege to do so, and we have been blessed to watch them grow and mature in their educational experiences. My children also attend Cornerstone Classical School.

I received a degree in Biblical and Theological Studies from Boyce College at The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary, and a degree in History from Indiana University. I have served in various preaching and teaching pastoral positions for about 20 years, working primarily with children and young adults. I was ordained as a Christian minister in 2019. I have also worked as an educator and tour guide with Pamplin Historical Park in Petersburg, VA, and as an educational volunteer with the National Park Service in both Vincennes, Indiana and Richmond, Virginia. I currently work at the Frazier History Museum in Louisville, KY, in the guest services and education department, where I assist with the leading of historical tours and educational programs.
