About the Course
Biblical Greek 1

This course is an introduction to New Testament Greek, and no prior language skills are required.  The purpose of this course is to learn the grammar and basic mechanics of the Greek language found in the New Testament as well as learn some of the basic skills to the art and science of translating the text into English.  Completion of this course will serve as a jumping off place for additional Greek study and more in-depth study of the Bible for the student.

This course will have students learn the roots for the most common words in the Greek New Testament, the various noun declension forms, verb conjugations and the various moods and tenses, prepositions, and the basic form of sentence structures. Additonally, there will be lots of practice of reading aloud of the text and composition into Koine Greek.
