Cornerstone Classical began in 2005 in response to the need for a classical, rigorous education for high school, home-educated students. Designed to be a step above the traditional co-op, Cornerstone connected classical educators - passionate about their fields of study - and home-educated students preparing for college-level learning after high school. At the time most classes rose out of the need at the moment. Various classical curriculums were used and an elementary program was eventually added as well.
Seeing the need for students and parents to be able to make long-term plans, Cornerstone developed a rotation schedule that would provide students with core classes required for graduation, plus an interesting and challenging mix of electives, from 1st through 12th grade.
God continues to bless us with overqualified instructors who have a heart for the home-school community and Himself and with families zealous for Christian, classical, and analytical learning.
