About the Course
In this U.S. Geography course, students will have fun as they learn to identify each of the 50 states, their capitals, and major geographical landmarks. By the end of the class, each student will have completed a State Note Book with many details about each state. Extra attention will be given to Indiana and to other states that the students find particularly interesting. The students will read four biographies about famous Americans from the Heroes of History series by Janet & Geoff Benge (YWAM Publishing): more details to come! Written and oral reports will be completed for each book. Grades will be given for the assignments. This will be a great class to help 6th grade students to transition smoothly into the upper school classes.

About Lindsey
For the 202/2027 year I will be teaching First Form Latin, Second Form Latin, and U.S. Geography.
Hi! This is my second year teaching at Cornerstone. I have been homeschooling for 10 years and teaching is one of my favorite things to do. Growing up I struggled in school, which has in turn fueled my passion for making education engaging and fun.
I graduated from Western Kentucky University with a Bachelor’s in Nursing. I worked in postpartum care for four years teaching new moms how to care for their babies. After having my second child, I was able to stay home full time with my family. Once I began my homeschooling career, I became involved with other homeschool co-ops, acting as a teacher and leader.
I live in Greenville, IN with my husband, 3 boys, a dog, cats, and chickens. We love to be outside as much as we can. In my spare time I enjoy decorating my home, thrifting, and reading.
I enjoy meeting you and your children this fall!
