About the Course
This class is intended to teach K-2 children the Spanish language in an engaging, fun manner and will cover the basics of Spanish 1. I plan to teach numbers, colors, the Spanish alphabet, basic conversational vocabulary, and the grammar necessary to string together short sentences. While I do have a cirriculum that I will be using (listed below), I would like to mainly use music and songs to teach, as I have found that through my years of taking Spanish classes, music and jingles are a powerful memorization tool.
The Bible will be heavily used and referred to in the lessons, as it is the most important textbook for us to have as Christians. The ability to translate is vital when learning Spanish as a second language, and I would like for each student to be sufficient at translating basic vocabulary by the end of the class (and hopefully they'll be able to speak full sentences!)
Check and Zelle are preferred methods of payment.

About E.V.
I've been attending Cornerstone since it was hosted at Faithpoint, and I'm so honored to now be a part of the team of teachers. I've been taking Spanish in some capacity for as long as I can remember, and because of my amazing teachers, I've been blessed with the ability to speak the language with few errors. Through Southeast Christian Church, I've been given many opportunities to lead little ones in worship and small group. Through those opportunities, I've found that I adore teaching and leading. As a teacher, I want to glorify God and show the younger generation His majesty.
As a student at CCE, I've been under the leadership of godly women who have been such inspirations to me and role models to look up to. Namely, Christina Cullen has shown me what it means to be a daughter of God, as she has been teaching me dance throughout my years at CCE. She taught me when she was my current age, and became not only a teacher to me, but a good friend. I pray that God will use me as a blessing unto my students as Christina was to me.
I'm passionate about music, dance, art and theater, and if there's a way to incorporate those into my class, I most certainly will take advantage of that opportunity! I believe that the creative arts can be very powerful methods of teaching, and I hope those methods will shape the minds of the students I'm teaching as they shaped mine.
