About the Course
This will be an engaging, hands-on elementary U.S. Geography class, in which students will explore the 50 states and their capitals using Memoria Press States & Capitals curriculum as our foundation. Through interactive map work, memorization techniques, games, and creative projects, students will build a strong understanding of America’s geography while developing confidence in identifying states, capitals, and key regions.
(Because we will be completing written workbook activities during some of class, students should be able to write independently and stay engaged with written assignments.)
*Each student will need Memoria Press States and Capitals Student Workbook (link below), Don't Know Much About the 50 States book by Kenneth C. Davis (link below), and colored pencils:

About Carrie
I am very excited for my second year of teaching at Cornerstone! I have four children, ages 11 to 4, who attend Cornerstone as well. I have a degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography and have loved getting to witness growing babies in the womb, though now my full time job is a homeschool mom (which I love too)! I have previously worked as an assistant preschool teacher. My husband and I currently serve as the children's ministry directors at our local church. Our family enjoys exploring different parks in the area, playing board games, and making memories at Disney World. I am looking forward to getting to know your child as we work together to foster a love of learning.
